Turksat Teleport Project Achieves Geographic Redundancy for Uninterrupted Broadcasting

In a significant stride towards fortifying communication infrastructure, PALS, a leading manufacturer and provider of satellite solutions, is thrilled to announce the successful completion of a pioneering Teleport project for Turksat. HAB GEOGRAPHICAL REDUNDANCY SATELLITE GROUND STATIONS Project, aimed at enhancing the geographical redundancy of the Turksat Teleport System, exemplifies our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions in satellite technology. The integration of advanced equipment, including Kratos antennas, CPI and Advantech amplifiers, Enensys modulators, ETL System RF over Fiber, and Evertz IRD, establishes a robust framework that ensures uninterrupted broadcasting, even in the face of emergencies or adverse weather conditions.

The Key Components of the Teleport Project:

Kratos Antennas Integration: The cornerstone of the project involved the integration of two 7.6m Kratos antennas, strategically positioned to operate in both Ku and DBS bands. This dual-band capability enhances the versatility and flexibility of the Turksat Teleport System, ensuring optimal performance across a range of frequencies. Kratos has been one of the exclusive partners of PALS for a long time and PALS delivered so many successful Projects nationally and internationally with Kratos solutions.

Rx Only Antennas Integration: Complementing the Global Skyware antennas, four 2.4m Rx Only antennas were seamlessly integrated into the Teleport System. These antennas play a crucial role in receiving signals, forming an integral part of the overall communication network.

High-Power Amplifiers (HPAs) and Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs): The deployment of CPI HPAs for the DBS antenna system and Advantech SSPAs for the Ku Band Antenna System underscores our commitment to utilizing top-tier amplification technology. These components ensure the reliability and efficiency of signal transmission, even under challenging conditions.

Modulators: To enhance signal modulation and processing, 24 state-of-the-art Enensys modulators were installed. This key component contributes to the overall signal quality, providing Turksat with a reliable platform for delivering high-quality content. Successful collaboration between Enensys and PALS allows delivery of the significant projects like as in this Project.

RF over Fiber System: The implementation of the ETL System RF over Fiber solution for both transmission and reception is a crucial element in achieving geographic redundancy. This technology facilitates long-distance signal transport with minimal signal degradation, ensuring the integrity of the broadcast feed. The successful partnership between ETLS System and PALS rooted in previous projects since then the collaboration allowed us to have excellent solutions for Turkish stakeholders.

Evertz IRD (Integrated Receiver Decoder): Partnership between Evertz and PALS expands global success. The inclusion of Evertz IRD adds a layer of sophistication to the Turksat Teleport System, providing robust decoding capabilities. This ensures the reception of high-quality signals, contributing to the overall reliability and resilience of the broadcasting infrastructure.

The completion of this Teleport project equips Turksat with a geographically redundant system, enabling uninterrupted broadcasting services even in the face of emergencies, disasters, or challenging weather conditions. This strategic initiative not only fortifies communication capabilities but also ensures that Turkey maintains access to critical information and services when they are needed most.

PALS takes immense pride in the successful implementation of the Teleport project for Turksat. This endeavour exemplifies our commitment to pushing the boundaries of satellite technology, providing clients with state-of-the-art solutions that enhance resilience and reliability. As we usher in a new era of connectivity, we remain dedicated to advancing satellite technology and contributing to the seamless flow of information, even in the most challenging circumstances
